World Outreach

A big part of our mission and passion is to reach out to the world. Our vision for world missions is, “A bridge to walk from the past to the future.” Energized by the arrival of the 21st Century and empowered by the Spirit of God, Ruggles Baptist Church’s vision is to join with tens of thousands of other churches to fulfill Christ’s commission to the final frontiers of the harvest by evangelizing the lost and equipping and supporting missionaries. In accomplishing this task, Ruggles Baptist Church is committed to the utilization of biblically based, culturally appropriate strategies, which result in reproducing healthy, New Testament churches. We believe this vision to be faithful to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ and faithful to the past ministry of Ruggles Baptist Church while open to the future.

Our mission for world outreach follows these strategic guidelines and principles:

• We will focus on the Shan as our number one priority

• We will partner with other churches in developing effective strategies to reach and evangelize the Shan

• We will use a team approach to missionary assignments

• We will provide short term missions trips to challenge believers to take risks and reach the world

• We will encourage people to go into closed nations as tent-makers

• We will reach out to the thousands of foreign students coming to US soil each year

• We will encourage “missions mobilizers”

• We will educate the community regarding the missionaries we support
